Following the destruction of the 2017 hurricanes that devastated Puerto Rico, Hilton took on the $150 million restoration project of the Caribe Hilton. And after two years they reopened the doors on May 15.
The restoration included a top-to-bottom makeover of its 652 rooms, food-and-beverage concepts, fitness center, spa, tennis center, and event space.
The property originally opened in 1949 and became known for that beloved tropical refresher we call the Pina Colada!
To celebrate the reopening and the 70th-anniversary, the hotel is offering the “One Night on Us” program. Book two nights before June 30 and travel before December 20 and the third night is complimentary.
“The reopening of the Caribe Hilton is one more symbol that Puerto Rico is back in business,” said Pablo Torres, the hotel’s general manager.
So if you like Pina Coladas ….
